The Way I Work

Bringing business experience, creativity and human understanding together.

Creativity as a Way of Working

Creativity isn't something I believe belongs exclusively to creative industries.

It’s a way of seeing possibilities, asking better questions, challenging assumptions and finding new ways forward.

I use conversation and creativity in much the same way I do in my coaching work: not to impose answers or opinions, but to help people see things differently, make sense of complexity and discover possibilities that may already be present within the business.

The aim is not growth at any cost. It's to help build businesses that can grow without losing the qualities that made them worth building in the first place.

A Different Kind of Consultancy

My approach sits somewhere between traditional consultancy and coaching.

I bring practical experience of business, brand, product, marketing and commercial development. But I also bring an understanding of the human side of change: identity, motivation, relationships, confidence, values and the way people respond when a business begins to outgrow its old ways of working.

That combination allows us to look at both sides of the equation.

What does the business need to become?

And:

What do the people within it need in order for that to happen well?

For me, the two are inseparable.

A business can have a compelling proposition and a strong strategy, but if the people within it aren't able to grow with it, something will eventually give.

Equally, a business can have a talented and committed team, but lack the cohesion, clarity or direction needed to make the most of what it has.

The interesting work happens in bringing those two things together.

Businesses Entering their Next Chapter

I am particularly interested in working with privately owned and founder-led businesses that have grown organically and are now entering a new stage.

You may have reached a point where the business is larger than you expected, the team has changed, the opportunities have multiplied, or the direction is no longer quite as clear as it once was.

You may simply know that the next stage requires a different way of thinking.

You don't necessarily need someone to tell you what to do.

You may need someone who can come alongside you, ask the right questions, challenge your thinking, bring a different perspective and help you work out what comes next.

That's where I come in.

If you're thinking about what's next for your business, I'd be happy to explore it with you.
