My Journey

I grew up in the Surrey countryside, where a love of rural life and making things, shaped a young curiosity and laid a foundation that would only make sense much later.

Academic studies never came easily to me, but I thrived in sports and creative subjects. Athletics became a defining focus, where I was a high achiever and a genuine prospect of a professional career, until reoccurring injuries abruptly brought that chapter to an end. It was an early lesson in identity, uncertainty, and the fragility of plans we assume are fixed.

At eighteen, I joined a young handprinted wallpaper company in London. Fourteen years later, having held several director-level roles, it had become one of the most respected international interior furnishing brands. The experience led to a career spent largely in the design industry, working in leadership roles across sales, marketing, product, brand and business development.

Along the way, I developed a deep respect for creativity, culture and heritage, and the role they play in shaping identity and purpose rooted in values. At the same time, I grew increasingly sensitive to the emotional world people inhabit – their motivations, aspirations, beliefs, and sense of worth and possibility. Building robust, values-led cultures and helping others realise their potential became central to my approach to leadership and fulfilment.

Yet as professional life gathered pace, it often felt as though success and uncertainty ran in parallel. Over the years, beneath the surface, I was navigating the consequences of a range of significant challenges, including:

·     Career Change

·     Financial Burden

·     Legal Issues & Injustice

·     Relationship & Family Upheaval

·     Health & Emotional Struggles

·     Grief & Loss

It was during those periods that coaching gave me perspective, resilience and renewed self-belief. My long-standing curiosity about psychology and self-understanding deepened into a commitment to personal growth – not simply as an interest, but increasingly as a necessity.

Facing near burnout forced me to step away and reassess what truly mattered. I chose to leave behind the life I had been living, to slow down, realign with my values, and consciously navigate a period of reflection and change. It was during this time that I rediscovered a sense of purpose that had quietly eroded over years of constant striving.

Self-discovery has since become a compass, guiding me through success and failure, clarity and doubt, achievement and regret. Learning to access my own resourcefulness helped me connect with a more authentic version of myself.

My journey into coaching alongside my enduring connection to creativity, culture and heritage, is rooted in something deeply human: the desire to live with integrity, coherence, and meaning.

Today, I feel compelled to work with those who sense that something no longer quite fits, and who are ready to explore what might be possible when they begin to listen more closely to themselves.
